Are you looking for information that goes beyond the subject of Protestant Theology and concerns studying in Wuppertal in general? Then please take advantage of the excellent information offered by the Central Student Guidance and Counselling Services (ZSB), which, in addition to personal counselling, offers an online counselling guide (including tips for starting your studies) and also answers "Frequently Asked Questions" (e.g. on the topics of application and enrolment, beginning and ending your studies).

We also recommend the free brochure "Studying in Wuppertal" from the university social services Wuppertal (HSW), which is available at the beginning of the semester and contains information on financing your studies, housing etc. The HSW also provides this information free of charge. Of course, the HSW also provides this information online.

The examination regulations (PO) form the official, legal basis of your degree programme. They regulate admission requirements, the structure and duration of the degree programme, possible subject combinations, etc. The PO is the document that you should familiarise yourself with; it forms the basis of your entire degree programme. The associated module handbooks provide a more detailed explanation of the information contained in the POs. You can find your PO on the Protestant Theology homepage in the Examination Regulations section.

The following tutorials are offered regularly and complement the courses on offer:

  • Introduction for first-year students (every winter semester): here you will receive all the necessary information about the formalities of the degree programme. Contact: Michelle Krüger (née Hermanns)
  • Offers for first contact with the ancient languages Greek and Hebrew: You will be taught the basics of the respective language so that you are then able to look up terms in specialised literature on your own. The course is primarily aimed at those students who do not wish to take the compulsory (or voluntary) extension examination (Graecum/Hebraicum), but they are also invited to take part for a 'taster'. The programme is part of the annual Faculty I summer school. Contact person: N.N.

All tutorials mentioned can be found via StudiLöwe.
