Jan Lucas Dietrich (born in 1995) studied Protestant Theology, Philosophy and English/American Studies in the combined Bachelor of Arts programme at the University of Wuppertal. After completing his Bachelor's degree in 2020, he studied Protestant Religious Education, English and Educational Sciences in the Master of Education programme at the University of Wuppertal, where he graduated with a Master's degree in 2023. From 2020 to 2023, he worked as a student and research assistant at the Chair of Systematic Theology under Professor Dr Alf Christophersen at the University of Wuppertal. In October 2024, he passed the state examination for the teaching profession at grammar schools and comprehensive schools in the subjects of Protestant Religious Education and English.

Since the end of 2024, he has been a research assistant at the Chair of Systematic Theology.
