3rd International Summer School on the Iconography of the Ancient World
From 14 to 18 September 2026, the 3rd International Summer School on the Iconography of the Ancient World will take place at our Brazilian partner institution, Faculdade Unide de Vitória, under the direction of Silas Klein Cardoso and Thomas Wagner. This year, the programme will primarily address questions of visual epistemology, which will be explored through an intercultural comparison between ancient and indigenous cultures. In addition to the thematic sessions, a visit to the Museu de Arte do Espírito Santo (MAES) and a meeting with an indigenous community are planned.
